Doug was invited to join the Main Board & CEO at Antal International by its founder Tony Goodwin. Antal is an executive recruiting company with 50 offices in 28 countries. He is a significant investor/shareholder. Antal is one of the largest and fastest growing recruitment businesses globally.
With 25 years in the recruitment industry and establishing businesses in over 35 countries. Doug entered this industry as Global Marketing Director for Management Recruiters International (MRI) selling over 400 franchises in the USA. MRI has over 800 offices globally and $750m annual fees. Doug is ranked in the top 1% of the most influential global leaders in recruitment.
Doug left MRI in 1991 to run for US Congress in Cleveland, Ohio where he grew up.He lost a close race and his life savings, believing then and now that great change can be made through elected office.
Arriving in London in 1992, Doug co-founded the recruitment franchise Humana International with James Caan, one of the ‘Dragons’ on the UK TV show ‘Dragons Den’. Humana, awareded top international franchise in the UK by the BFA, in 7 years, grew to over 200 offices in 27 countries and over $100m USD in annual fee income.

MRI, Doug's previous business, acquired Humana as the largest acquisition in their 45-year history of MRI, becoming known as MRI Worldwide.
Earlier in his career, Doug held senior international executive positions at several Fortune 500 corporations.
